Summer 2026 Student Interns
We’re excited to meet all the campers and occupational therapy clients coming to Forestways programs this summer! We have 4 wonderful students joining us and would love to introduce them to you:
Morgan Mahan
Favorite Outdoor Activities: backpacking, skiing, kayaking, gardening
Favorite Occupations: spending time with my family and friends, traveling, exercising, playing sports
Random Fact: My high school mascot was a "Zizzer," which we defined as an expert in any activity. It was made up by a teacher and featured on a BuzzFeed list of weirdest high school mascots.
I am most looking forward to learning how to combine two of my biggest passions, the outdoors and occupational therapy. I'm really excited for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the children we get to serve this summer
Arkansas State OT Doctoral Student
Bethany Rothacher
Favorite Outdoor Activity: Going to the beach or going on easy walking trails with friends/family.
Favorite Occupations: I love swimming, reading, and playing games with family.
Random Fact: I taught English in Taiwan for eleven years.
I am really looking forward to meeting and spending time with the children, and being able to practice what I’ve learned in the classroom.

Haylee Grant
Favorite Outdoor Activity: going to different hiking trails with my dog or relaxing in a hammock (anytime really) but more specifically to see the sunset!
Favorite Occupations: being creative including art projects like painting, sculpting, and drawing. I recently have been trying to get back into baking because it's also something I enjoy but definitely could be better at!
Random Fact: I am a dog mom to the sweetest boy, Niko; he is a German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd mix.
I am looking forward to being at Forestways in general for various reasons, but more specifically being able to learn in such a fun environment and being able to create exciting crafts and activities!

Favorite Outdoor Activities: walking, biking, and visiting national parks.
Favorite Occupations: reading, running, hanging out with friends and family, and cooking.
Random Fact: I hate all kinds of chocolate.
I am most looking forward to learning more about pediatric occupational therapy and watching how it changes the kids for the better.
